In February 2018 Sarah was diagnosed with EPS (Encapsulating Peritoneal Sclerosis). This is an extremely rare peritoneal disease which only affects kidney patients who have been on peritoneal dialysis for over 5 years. Sarah underwent a major operation at the Royal Infirmary in Manchester which was successful. Unfortunately following the operation Sarah was diagnosed with metastatic bladder cancer which was incurable and unable to be treated.
